From the city to its outskirts, Cleveland, Ohio has a lot to offer. The city is a dynamic mix of cultures, which is located on Lake Erie. After these have grown up here a few of my favorite places to visit if you could be in town. The best time to visit if you want to avoid very cold weather, late spring or early autumn. You will not be disappointed.
Public Square and Tower City
In the heart of Cleveland is a beautiful old skyscraper called the Terminal Tower. Built inLate 1920, its interior restored in less than 80, a large fully enclosed shopping mall called Tower City. E 'impressive to say the least, with its fountains, marble floors and elegant, said the multi-level structure. And 'where to shop and eat Cleveland, and meet, go to football matches. Close to the stadiums for baseball, basketball and football. This is a city that loves its sports. In the basement of the tower of the city, you can take the subway, called the Rapid Transit or RTA, to the east orWest side. The Rapid is fast and convenient. many business people use it daily for commuting to work. Also goes to the airport. Tower City is the center of most activities for Cleveland.
The apartments
If you go for a good meal, as the apartment is a picturesque place to go. Many restaurants are on the east and west banks of the Cuyahoga, which runs close to the Terminal Tower. This river is where ore barges and other ships coming and going huge. L 'Waterway is strong in summer for both business and personal use, used by all. On the scenic west bank is Shooters, a popular restaurant that I used to go, is the spectacular view of the water from there. There are concerts there in the summer by famous bands of various genres. The historic house near power is another popular spot. This is a completely renovated historic building with electricity TGIFridays, Howl at the Moon Saloon, the Improv Comedy Club and more. My friends and I used tooften have to go there after work.
Cleveland Metro Parks System
Cleveland is a very large ring of public parks that are well maintained and offer spectacular natural beauty surrounded. There are places for cooking, shelter and picnic tables, jogging trails, horseback riding and much more. This ring extends for many miles around the outskirts of Cleveland. My favorite is the Chagrin Reservation in the autumn when the trees are all changing their colors. Autumn is spectacularIf you like nature, are the bright colors of the trees' really. There are events like horse shows, exhibits and other year-round. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a popular place on the west side nearby.
University Circle
This is a highly cultural area on the east side of Cleveland, full of students, like many universities in this area, Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art, just to name a few. The Cleveland Museum of Art is an impressiveBuilding with many items ranging from weapons room of Egyptian mummies and tombs. The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is one of my favorites, to show detailed dinosaur skeletons, the region's history, the beauty of nature and how the world works through exhibits, lectures and a planetarium. The Cleveland Botanical Garden is next, and a must for lovers of plants, also has a rain forest. The Crawford Auto Museum has many elegant weddings, the place and the parties. E 'You can see cars of all times in good condition. Great for fans of old cars.
Little Italy
This ethnic part of University Circle is a wonderful place to go to a cafe, or festival. They have a traditional annual festival as the feast of the Assumption, where the roads are closed and people jam in there like sardines. Little Italy is full of galleries. An old elementary school was converted into a building full of shops and galleries, and shops surroundingare artistic. And 'the paradise of an artist. There are art walks and shows frequently. Stop at Presti Bakery for the most amazing pastries, ever. If you are there at dawn, Presti has a small donut shop a few doors away from their bakery, but it closes early. If you are lucky enough to catch him, while it is open, are the donuts are hot and fresh. It 'been a tradition for many residents, many years.
Chagrin Falls
A suburb of Cleveland, thismy hometown. With seven waterfalls throughout its territory, this charming New England town with the flavor of a family atmosphere that occaisionally attracts movie producers and is the past, has a couple of moving images. To Chagrin Falls on Memorial Day, when parking a parade and festival (Blossom Time) in the city center. This is Americana at its best. Stop at the Popcorn Shop, the park across the street from the city, where you can get ice cream, popcorn and other snacks. This is an old,historic building full of history built right on top of a waterfall. There is a wide ranging public under him and see the waterfalls from below. Chagrin If you go in summer, this is a must. In the heart of the city, is also an old gazebo that be where the group would be the old-time music. This is a picturesque old town do not want to miss.
The West Side Market
If you like fruit, meat and other foods directly from the manufacturer itself, the West SideMarket is the place to go and often with them. There are vendors selling old established family of fresh chickens, old world bread, meat, chocolate and fruit and vegetables anyone can imagine. There are Poles, Italians, Irish, Slavic, Mexican, German and other foods are. It is a melting pot full of fresh food with a loyal following of people who come from all over the shop.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Science Center next door
If you love Rock and Roll, see thisMuseum or be square! It is a lively, modern hotel was built on Lake Erie, with exhibits, shows and souvenirs galore. Beside, the Science Center is located with its IMAX theater. These places are wonderful family, so be sure to take your kids and walk around the two posts. Often, when I was able, show boat is visible outside, check the water when you are there. The lake is a center of activity all in itself.
If you get a chance to visit Cleveland, rememberThe camera. It 's a place with lots to discover. Go to art exhibitions, attend shows, museums and many restaurants. This city is growing, and every day. Go see a game or two, ride the train. The St. Patrick's Day, there is a big parade is worth a visit if you're Irish. If you get really adventurous, drive out to Cedar Point or Amish country (about an hour or so from downtown Cleveland).
